Diversity expressed by wheat germplasm under temperate Srinagar (J and K) Conditions

To know the expression of diversity, their extent and pattern, field evaluations 119 indigenously collected wheat germplasm were conducted under temperate valley conditions at KD Research Farm NBPGR, Regional Station Jammu Kashmir, India, for two consecutive years. All together 14 traits undertaken. measure diversity simple statistical tools like maximum, minimum standard deviation taken into account. Correlation study, principal component analysis cluster performed. Excellent amount expressed by tested germplasms. Standard showed highest variation in yield deciding factors, i.e., biomass gain yield. studies accord that no. spikelets / spike had maximum influence with other Kashmir Valley conditions. PCA bi-plot study less as compare to traits. Cluster suggested plant height was significantly correlated all except spike. germplasms various traits, which can be utilised donor breeding program.
